This certificate provides students with an introduction to the central concepts and questions of political science. Upon successful completion, students will acquire knowledge of the fundamentals of political theory, methodology and research techniques as well as principal theories of international relations.
Students will also be introduced to the field of comparative political systems and learn about the modern nation-state, government, and society. Students will also explore how public policies are made and how they are evaluated.
Students should complete 4 courses out of 6 to receive a specialization certificate in Introduction to Political Science.
